You can set your twitter
account to private; that way you do not
have to interact with anyone on Twitter if you do not desire to. Ignore all follower
requests, and make sure all notifications are turned off on your Twitter settings with the
exception of SMS. We strongly advise enabling the SMS notification on Twitter, which
pushes alerts to your phone using the real-time speed of Twitter.
Who knows, you may discover you enjoy
using Twitter to communicate with close friends and family while retaining your private
settings, but either way, you are not required by Twitter to interact with anyone. If all
