If you cannot find your preferred city on our menu, you can select any city that is located within the same county that you reside in currently. If you are unable to select a city nearby, that is also located within the same county, then please select a full state warning feed. The exceptions for this would be the states of Arizona, California, Virginia, Utah, New Hampshire and Colorado. If you are unable to locate your exact city in our menu for these states, please select the full state feed, which is listed and located within each state’s city menu.

There are approximately 19,000 cities and unfortunately, only about 2000 NWS observation stations in the United States, which leaves most cities without a centrally located observation station. Most Internet weather service providers mask this fact by stretching a feed to cover areas that do not have observation stations, sometimes even to distances that render the feed ineffective. We believe that feeds should not be stretched beyond 20 miles.
